    Description
    Randstad has a great temp to hire role with a Swedish manufacturer of mining and infrastructure equipment. It is headquartered in Stockholm, Sweden and has its manufacturing facilities in Sweden, the United States, Canada, Australia, China, India, Japan, and Germany. This division was recently acquired from Stanly Black and Decker, and the transition is nearly complete. They are proud to be more than the #1 tools and storage company and #2 security solutions provider, with a leading presence in engineered fastening. They are a visionary company that is currently expanding and plans more growth in the future. They are looking to expand their Accounting/Invoicing team in response to business growth.
    • This is a temp to hire position, with an estimated 90 day contract period before being hired permanently.
    • This is a fully remote job with no chance of being recalled to a physical office.
    • This job is open to anyone physically located in the US As an Accounting Assistant, you will be responsible for handling our Client's bills & assisting with their accounts payable ledger. The Accounting Assistant can expect to participate in the processing of invoices, generating vendor payments, and assist with other accounting activities.

      salary: $24 - $25.25 per hour
      shift: First
      work hours: 9 AM - 5:30 PM
      education: Associate

      Responsibilities
      • Process approximately invoices per week.
      • Perform weekly payment selections to process checks for multiple companies
      • Incoming calls to accounting department, regarding payment status
      • Review and manage vendor payments to maximize DPO opportunities
      • Reconciles vendor statements
      • Work closely with Purchasing/Receiving personnel to resolve price discrepancies and receiving issues
      • Maintain accounting sub-ledgers by verifying and posting account transactions
      • Process wire payments/issuing stop payments electronically
      • Perform month end testing/reconciliation
      • Any other tasks as needed

        The essential functions of this role include:
