Description

The Accounts Payable Manager manages day to day activities in the organization's accounts payable function, through a team of accounts payables clerks that code expenses, verify and process invoices, and issue payments.

They are responsible for vendor and subcontractor payments, reconciling vendor statements, and processing vendor payments.


Requirements:


Typically requires a bachelor's degree and at least 5 or more years of experience with at least 3 years of people leadership experience.

Accounting degree preferred but not required. Must have proven experience in accounts payable and a good understanding of assets and accounting principles.


Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, sit 68 hours daily
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

Responsibilities:

Lead a team of clerks and specialists in A/P

Lead process to submit 1099 making sure all info is accurate

Process invoices, credit memos, check requests, employee reimbursements, etc.

Coding invoices with proper G/L account codes

Weekly subcontractor payments and invoice creation/entry

Prepare a weekly Cash Requirements report

Process weekly ACH payments via NACHA Upload file

Develop new procedures to improve processing times

Develop Vendor Management processes

Resolve discrepancies with vendors

Perform special projects and other duties as assigned

Pay:
From $100,000.00 per year
