Scope of Position


The Outdoor Operations Manager serves as a primary point of contact for guests/clients in the outdoor operations department of the hotel (Calypso, Pool Operations, and Fitness Center).

This position handles and oversees all outdoor operations and ensures staffing levels are adequate for the shifts.

Position Requirements

  • Professional demeanor appropriate for a resort environment.
  • Assist with liquor controls, ordering, inventory, cost control, beverage cost analysis, training and up to date product knowledge.
  • Assist with departmental payroll and other expenses disbursements.
  • Proven organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Assist in the training and development of new team members and supervisors.
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services to include customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities:


  • Understands expectations and parameters for the Food and Beverage activities.
  • Manages and communicates details both verbally and in writing to the customer and hotel operations.
  • Makes presence always known to customer during the process.
  • Responds to and handles client/guest opportunities with proper escalations.
  • Interacts with guests to obtain feedback on product quality and service levels.
  • Adheres to all standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Assist team members in the close out of their shift and ensure all areas are clean and stocked.
  • Performs other duties as assigned to meet business needs or special projects in the Food and Beverage management.
Education

  • High School diploma of GED; mínimal experience in event management or related professional area.
  • 4year degree from an accredited university in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major; no work experience required.
Skills and Abilities

  • Effectively adjust to major changes in work tasks or environment.
  • Clearly convey information and ideas.
  • Develop and sustain productive customer relationships; actively seeking information to understand and address customer's needs.
  • Develop creative ideas about products and services.
  • Able to use basic computer hardware and software.
Physical Requirements

  • Able to work in a fastpaced environment.
  • On a continuous basis, sit at a desk in front of a computer screen; intermittently twist to reach to reach equipment or supplies surrounding desk; perform simple grasping and fine manipulation; use telephone and computer keyboard on a daily basis.
  • Physically fit in order to lift, pull and push items up to 50 pounds.
  • Requires standing/walking/reaching and bending throughout shift.
