- Must be able to perform on-stage and in-water – following lightly choreographed movements - training can/will be provided if necessary
- Comfortable interacting with audiences while performing – training can/will be provided if necessary
- Showing up on-time and preparing for daily performances is essential
- Must feel comfortable performing in front of large crowds and for media availability
- Performers will be paid for rehearsal and training time, as well as warm-up time and non-performance time (museum guest services work) on their shift
- Must be able to work individually and collaborate with other performers
- Provide exceptional guest service throughout the museum & SuperFunland
- Occasionally act as a front-facing representative of the museum, which may include:
- Greet and assist all museum guests;
- effectively handle questions regarding a variety of museum attractions, amusements, and products in accordance with established museum policies and procedures.
- Use initiative and enthusiasm to create exceptional guest experiences
- Be knowledgeable about the museum, its history, programs, and special events, and effectively communicate this information to guests
- Maintain the ability to work some nights and weekends and extended schedules during peak periods. Flexible scheduling is available with enough prior notice.
- Perform additional duties as required.
- Have a solid background of dance (any type) or performing as mermaid or water-based entertainer.
- Multi-skilled performers will be prioritized.
- Comfortable with bikini-level/swimwear-level nudity, if required.
- Physically capable of providing up to 30 minutes of atmospheric entertainment per set (up to. 4 hours of performance time per day).
- You are a personable and a strong communicator.
- You are a dependable and friendly individual that enjoys working with a team.
- You thrive working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- You have the ability to work some nights, weekends, and some holidays.
- Multilingual is a plus
- A shared Green Room will be provided for all staff, and performers will be asked to change in this area.
- All costumes will be provided by the Museum of Sex (costume adjustments will also provided by the Museum of Sex).
- Performance training and rehearsals will be provided by professional choreographers.
- Certified safety personnel will be on-site at all times, and they will receive extensive training for appropriate emergency responses in performance areas.
- The physical demands and work environment described in this job description is representative of those that the employee will encounter and are expected to meet to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
- The work environment is an indoor, climate-controlled public area of assembly. The noise level varies throughout the venue, some areas are very quiet while others contain reasonably high noise levels. There is ample lighting throughout the venue.

Job DescriptionRole SummaryWe believe that entertainment is a pillar to what is going to make the Museum of Sex a breakthrough art institution in the Miami market. We need performers of all genders who are able to entice and allure through dance on our custom-made stage, which also doubles as a underwater performance tank This role will be a great opportunity for dancers, underwater performers, and specialty performers interested in learning or developing a new skill set, performing in a state-of-the-art space, and growing with the newest venue in Miami. We are offering full-time hours (split into performance work and guest-service museum work) on a temp-to-hire basis, skills training, a housing stipend, and room for advancement through developmental opportunities.
