About the Role

We are looking to hire an Associate Trade Control Analyst to join our growing global CFO team. This role will focus on North American operations specifically, and will sit in our Austin, Texas office. As an Associate level, this role is an opportunity for someone at the start of their career, looking to gain exposure to the inner workings of the commodities industry.

This will be a full-time role, with a structured training period to up-skill this individual before fully embedding within our Trade Operations & Control department. This person should expect the opportunity to learn and deliver the following responsibilities as part of their day-to-day role, once they are up and running:

Performing bilateral trade checkouts with internal traders and external counterparties.
Reconciling intercompany transactions.
Reconciling OTC brokerage commissions and Exchange fees to internal system records.
Daily reconciliation between internal systems and Futures Clearing Merchants (FCMs).
Working with traders, schedulers and Middle Office personnel to resolve variances with counterparties.
Ensuring all trades are confirmed via paper or eConfirm.
Performing daily broker confirmation trade checkout.
Tracking confirmations, amendments, cancelations and other operational metrics.
Owning static reference data set-up within Trailstone's Energy Trade Risk Management (ETRM) system.
Ad hoc analysis as needed.
Supplementing other team members through cross-training and providing coverage during scheduled and unscheduled outages.

About You

This role does not require prior industry experience or trade operations exposure; we will provide all necessary training to get this individual up to speed within the team. As a result, this role will be best suited to someone looking to start their career within commodities.

In order to provide the best foundation for success, we do ask for the following qualifying metrics in order to apply:

A bachelor's degree, or equivalent academic or experience-led qualification, in the subjects of accounting or finance
A detail-oriented mindset, with the ability to collaborate
An interest in learning SQL and Python, in order to ensure success in this role
