The Quality Engineer must possess experience in a manufacturing industry with increasing responsibilities in Quality, Engineering or Operations. Strong focus on quality systems (e.g. AS9100, NADCAP), process qualifications, nonconformance management, continuous improvement. He/she will be responsible for bringing new product and processes to market on time and within budget.
He/she will apply techniques and processes, teach and mentor best practices (Lean, Six Sigma, Management System deployment DFM, DFA, DOE, FMEA, VA/VE, etc.).
Essential Functionsall metrics for Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost for the organization are met and trending in the right direction.
Proper production preparation, quality, time accuracy, through the implementation of continuous improvement are key.
as lead product and process quality expert for customers and internal organization in the case of materials, coatings, and assembly application.
for and manage all source inspections working with the customer and internal organization.analyze, and discuss customer required specifications managing all qualification kick-off meetings and put decisions into actions. Works to complete projects on time and within budget.
on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors. Exercise judgment within generally defined practices and policies to determine appropriate action and to solve a variety of problems. Analyze nonconforming reports, returned products and recommends corrective action.
revise, apply and maintain quality procedures, quality plans, documents and work instructions in accordance with IS09001, AS9100, NADCAP, S1000, industry standards, and customer requirements.
Participate in product development to assure all quality issues are addressed.methods of procedures for inspecting, testing, and evaluating the precision and accuracy of products and calibration of equipment.
Performs a variety of duties to independently perform dimensional, visual and non-destructive testing of diversified components and assemblies to ensure fabrication and equipment are in compliance with engineering, industry standards and customer approved documents.
with all areas of the company, its customers and suppliers on quality issues. Initiate and maintain the implementation and closure of corrective actions. Participate in the resolution of corrective actions and verifications of actions implemented.Engineering activities such as PPQ, SSP, data review and submittal, PO contract review, MRB issues review and responsibility and authority for disposition Non-conforming material.

Work Environment
This job operates in both an office environment and a manufacturing environment. The role routinely uses standard office equipment, such as computes, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. The individual will be required to adhere to safety policies and procedures on the manufacturing floor.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.
The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel and reach with hands and arms.

Position Type/Expected Hours of WorkThis is a Full -time position, Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm, with additional hours as business needs necessitate.
Travel
Occasional overseas and domestic travel may be required to support the rapid growth of the company.
Education
A Materials Science, Mechanical or Chemical Engineer bachelor's degree or over 2/3 years equivalent experience is required.
ISO9001, AS9100, NADCAP, GE S1000, and Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing experience required. Certified as an ASNT Level III Fluorescent Penetrant Inspector is highly desirable.
