Description
TSC is seeking highly motivated students who are pursuing a degree in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering for its Cooperative Education Program in Huntsville, AL, supporting the Radar & Precision Weapons Development Operation. These students shall excel academically and exhibit a true passion for their work while demonstrating a positive attitude. During this experience, students convert theory into practice as they apply classroom knowledge to practical work situations, as well as gain knowledge and skills, which will enhance future coursework.
Our Co-Ops commit three semesters to TSC by an alternating work schedule with their school schedule. These three semesters offer students the opportunity to clarify their academic focus and test their career interests and goals. Many of our experienced engineers were at one-time TSC Co-Ops and it's our goal to continue in this tradition.
Our Co-Ops shall have an interest in analysis, design, and manufacturing of RF/microwave sensors and systems including but not limited to radars/sensors, missile seekers, and communications systems. They will also have a strong desire to gain experience in the following areas:
The Co-Op's primary role is to support the full-time engineering staff with their tasks. Co-ops are given opportunities to get hands on, practical work experience to help them further excel at, appreciate, and understand the application of their college coursework. As the co-ops gain more experience and coursework, they are able to take on more responsibilities and further aid the engineering staff.
