Part time Dietary Aide

Weekdays 4pm-8pm, alternating weekends 6:30am-3pm

Starting at $16/hr. based on experience

GENERAL SUMMARY:

The Dietary Aide is responsible for preparing and serving therapeutic diet trays to health center residents in accordance with posted therapeutic diet menus.

Essential Job Duties:

Prepares therapeutic desserts and salads as required.
Transports hot and cold foods to and from the health center pantries.
Transports all required non‐food items to and from the health center pantries.
Provides health center snacks and supplements per diet orders.
Takes orders, provides service and requested items both graciously and courteously.
Ensures that orders match Physician's diet orders.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Ability to understand and follow instructions in English, communicate effectively, and perform simple arithmetic. Ability to understand measurements and conversions.
Ability to plan and organize work set up trays and plates in accordance with diet orders and interpret specifications and standards.
Ability to work in close cooperation with residents, guests, visitors, families, supervisor and peers. Requires empathy for the elderly.
