    National Account Manager, Non-Commercial Accounts - fully remote


    The National Account Manager, Non-Commercial Accounts is accountable for planning and managing the sale of products to non-commercial accounts at the national headquarters level. Their primary goal is to optimize sales volume and profitability from non-commercial accounts for the organization's products and to support and maximize the company's strategic plans.

    Key Responsibilities

    1. Attain sales volume objectives by working closely with non-commercial accounts and Field Sales at the local level to increase volume and improve product penetration.
    2. Understand and manage customer contract negotiations. Develop strategies that will grow the business profitably and allow BAF to negotiate effectively. Ensure recovery of the negative impacts from cost of goods and/or freight increases.
    3. Develop strategic plans to be executed by Field Sales. Serve as a resource and liaison between Field Sales and the non-commercial customers.
    4. Drive customer volume growth and work closely with the trade spend, pricing, and finance departments on effective contract management. Understand and apply P/L analysis.
    5. Work closely with Marketing to promote and support assigned non-commercial account needs and requirements.
    6. Work closely with other team members to maximize FMC/GPO contracts with respect to the K12 and Military Segments. Coordinate initiative efforts, Field Sales communication/execution, and support the implementation of strategies at the local level.
    7. Coordinate efforts with Agency non-commercial managers to target opportunities, support non-commercial corporate initiatives, and maximize sales execution.

    Competitive Compensation: The expected pay range for this role is between $145,000-$155,000, although a final salary offer is dependent on the candidate's experience level and skill set. In addition to a competitive base salary, this position participates in a sales incentive plan and offers a vehicle reimbursement program.

    We're Looking for Someone With (must-haves):

    • 5-10 years experience with food sales to non-commercial accounts
    • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university, or equivalent combination of education & experience
    • Experience negotiating contracts at the headquarters level of non-commercial accounts
    • Able to travel up to 50% of the time, primarily in the United States, but could potentially include limited travel to Canada
