SUMMARY

The
Banquet Hostperson ("Receptcionista de Banquetes") will be responsible for providing excellent customer service to guests by assisting them with towel needs at the resort's beach areas and will also play a vital role in creating a fun and engaging experience for children visiting the Sunset Luau.

You will be responsible for supervising a variety of activities, games, and crafts designed to entertain and educate young guests.

Your enthusiasm, creativity, and attention to safety will contribute to the overall enjoyment and satisfaction of families staying at our resort.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:


  • Welcome children and their families to the Sunset Luau activity area with a friendly and welcoming demeanor.
  • Facilitate a range of outdoor activities, including games and arts and crafts.
  • Ensure that activities are ageappropriate, safe, and enjoyable for all participants.
  • Supervise children at all times to ensure their safety and wellbeing, intervening in any conflicts or issues as needed.
  • Interact with parents and guardians in a professional and courteous manner, providing information about available activities, schedules, and safety procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with fellow staff members, collaborating on activity planning, scheduling, and execution.
  • Monitor and restock towel inventory as needed, while maintaining a clean and organized distribution area.
  • Provide information about towel services, pool/beach amenities, and resort activities to guests as needed.
  • Assist with the setup and breakdown of activity stations, ensuring that all items are stored properly and securely when not in use.
  • Performs additional duties and responsibilities as directed by the leadership team.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or GED
  • At least 612 months of relevant experience and/or training.
  • A combination of experience, education, and/or training may be substituted for either requirement.
  • Previous similar position in a hotel or similar business entity preferred.
  • Availability to work weekends and holidays is required.
  • Ability to always maintain a friendly, professional, teamoriented, positive demeanor and diplomatic attitude, especially under stress or challenges.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to stand, kneel, squat for prolonged periods of time, up to and including, the entire shift and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • The following position will be filled in accordance with the process set forth in California Labor Code Section and San Diego Municipal Code et. seq.
