Job DescriptionMedical Billing and Collection Specialist
Premier Associates for the Healthcare of Women, a growing medical practice specializing in Maternal-Fetal Medicine located in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. Premier Associates has continued to grow and expand its practice to provide the best care and service to the South Florida Community in the concept of "Caring for Our Future" since 1997. We provide quality medical service, comprehensive high-risk obstetrical care, genetic services, perinatal diagnoses, and consultations.
We are looking for an experienced individual to join our team.
Job Requirements and Responsibilities
Coordination of all patient and insurance billings for the medical facility by performing the following duties:
Coding of Labor and Delivery
Coding of OBGYN Surgeries
Coding of Daily Office Visits
Posting of daily office charges, surgery charges and delivery charges
Creating and sending insurance claims vis electronic EMR to clearinghouse
Rebilling insurance companies or other third parties to secure payment for patients
Verifies entries made by providers and makes corrections, if necessary, on the superbill prior to sending claims
Works appeals to get claims paid
Following up on unpaid claims and collecting on past due accounts, expediting claims and collection to keep up the revenue stream.
Job Qualifications
- Proficient in the operational details of Billing and Collection, which includes insurance claim submission, clearinghouse and payer claims, payer claim rejection, payment posting, insurance claim denial management, and patient collections.
Proficient in medical billing and coding. Software (Athena) is preferable.
Thorough knowledge of all HIPPA regulations pertaining to the medical office environment
Interested in working and putting best effort as well as paying a lot of attention to details
Proficient in understanding in analyzing A/R reports.
Ability to work with others.
Job Type: Full-Time
Pay $22 - $25 per hour.
