    Description
    Job Description
    • Assists in preparing and cooking of food.
    • Serves meals to students and staff.
    Manage team on site and kitchen
    • Performs cleaning duties, including cleaning of equipment and work areas, storage areas, dishwashing and pot washing.
    • Sets up hot and/or cold food area.
    • Delivers, when necessary, food to staff, students and catering events.
    • Prepares and serve food according to menus.
    Ability to place and receive food and paper orders and EOM Inventory
    • Checks temperatures(including hot cold temps) and records appropriately understanding and keeping proper production records.
    • Attends all mandatory in-service programs and all training assigned.
    • Supports the goals, objective and mission statement set forth by Whitsons.
    • Performs all other duties as assigned.
    Reports to the GM dailyWork school schedule - Mon-Fri 6:00am-2:00pm

    • Use hands and fingers to feel, handle, or operate objects, tools, or controls and reach with hands and arms.
    • Be standing on feet majority of the workday in addition to walking back and forth.
    • Lift and/or move up to 40+ pounds. Lifting while turning side to side is sometimes necessary.
    • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.

    WORK ENVIRONMENT:

    • The work is performed primarily in the kitchen and on the serving line
    • Standing most of the work day is required.
    • Work requires movement in and out of store rooms and freezers
    • Exposure to extreme temperatures (hot and cold) due to cooking and refrigeration equipment.
    • The noise level in the work environment is moderate to loud. The duties listed above are intended only as illustrations of the various types of work and duties that may be performed.     Requirements
    • High school or GED equivalent.
    • Ability to speak and read English in order to understand and perform job assignments.
    • Extensive physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting up to 45lbs, bending, pushing, and pulling.
    • Computer Skills/ Point of Sales
    • Cooking Skills / Recipe AdherenceServe Safe Certified, Allergen Awareness TrainingAbility to place and receive food and paper orders. EOM InventoryAbility to Manage staff, PIC for the location
    • Understanding of Sanitation Standards HACCAP Guidelines
    • Able to pass background check
    • Always present a positive and professional image in customer service
