    Job Title: Litigation Attorney (Contract/Contract-to-Hire)

    Location: New York City, NY (Hybrid Work Schedule)

    Company: [Confidential Government Organization]

    Position Type: Contract (with potential for long-term growth)

    Experience Level: 1+ years of legal practice/document review and/or court appearances

    Responsibilities:

    • Represent clients in legal proceedings, potentially including court appearances and hearings.
    • Conduct legal research and analysis related to highly sensitive documents for a classified internal investigation matter.
    • Draft legal documents, pleadings, and motions.
    • Collaborate with senior attorneys to develop case strategies.
    • Provide legal advice and guidance to clients.
    • Maintain accurate records and documentation.

    Qualifications:

    • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
    • Admitted to practice law in New York.
    • Minimum of 1 year of experience in litigation, preferably in a law firm setting.
    • Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

    Preferred Skills:

    • Experience with general commercial litigation.
    • Familiarity with New York Labor Law and premises liability and/or other specialties.
    • Knowledge of healthcare law (for roles involving medical litigation).

    Work Schedule:

    • This position offers a hybrid work schedule, allowing attorneys to work both remotely and in-office.
