JOOLA is for looking for an experienced Director of Content and Branding with a passion for growth and interest in pickleball and table tennis

JOOLA was first established in 1952 and built a global reputation as a pioneer in table tennis. In 2022, JOOLA expanded into the rapidly growing pickleball scene and quickly attracted the biggest names in the sport. As an official table tennis sponsor for three Summer Olympic Games and the official sponsor of pickleball's top athletes and the Professional Pickleball Association (PPA), the team at JOOLA combines its storied expertise with fresh perspectives to bring innovation to both sports. JOOLA creates a variety of equipment, apparel, and accessories for both table tennis and pickleball players, professional and recreational. With offices in US, Germany, Brazil, and China, JOOLA has a global presence and wide distributor network.

The Director of Content and Branding will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive content and branding strategy to elevate JOOLA in the pickleball and table tennis market while driving engagement across various channels.

Location: Rockville, MD

Responsibilities:

Develop and execute a cohesive content and branding strategy aligned with JOOLA's brand values, target audience, and business objectives.
Champion JOOLA's brand identity, ensuring consistency, authenticity, and resonance across all touchpoints and communications.
Curate and oversee the creation of editorial content across various platforms, including social media channels, website, blogs, newsletters, and other digital assets.
Cultivate and nurture strategic sponsorships of players by maximizing opportunities for brand exposure and engagement.
Lead and mentor a team of social media specialists and marketing coordinators providing guidance, direction, and feedback to ensure alignment with brand and content guidelines and strategic goals.
Collaborate with the creative, sales, and product development teams to integrate brand messaging and storytelling into product launches, campaigns, and initiatives.
Lead PR efforts, including media relations, press releases, and event management, to enhance JOOLA's visibility and reputation.
Monitor and analyze social media and PR metrics, audience feedback, and industry trends to identify opportunities for optimization and improvement.
Cultivate relationships with key players, influencers, partners, and media outlets to amplify JOOLA's brand reach and secure coverage opportunities.
Ensure compliance with brand guidelines, legal requirements, and industry standards in all content and branding initiatives.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
7-10 years of experience in content marketing, branding, or related roles, with a proven track record of developing and executing successful strategies.
Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team to achieve goals and deliver results.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling brand stories and engage audiences across different channels.
Deep understanding of social media platforms, content trends, and best practices, with experience in social media management and analytics tools.
Experience managing sponsorships, events, and PR campaigns, with a focus on building relationships and securing media coverage.
Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a passion for innovation and pushing the boundaries of traditional branding approaches.
Knowledge of the pickleball and table industry or sports marketing is a plus.
