    Description
    Responsibilities:
    • Evaluates behavioral data for target maladaptive behavior for the purpose of development and implementation of a formal Behavioral Support Plan for assigned caseload in Residential and Day Habilitation
    • Analyzes potential existing functions of maladaptive behavior utilizing baseline procedures
    • Conducts direct observations of behaviors, interacts with team members, outside service provides and parents/advocate of the person supported
    • Implements behavioral planning by providing training of employees, on all formal Behavior Support Plans, Monitoring plan and Data collection
    • Supervises BIS consultants
    • Participates in staff meetings, HRC/IRC, and Life plan meetings
    • Conducts clinical internal audits and submit findings to the Director of Psychology
    • Facilitates Clinical and IDT meetings
    • Advocates and interacts with psychiatric, psychotherapy and psycho-sexual services when necessary
    • Participates in agency's development as assigned by Director of Psychology(e.g. screening, develop preliminary plan)
    • Travels to different locations throughout NYC and Long Island is required
    • The position requires answering calls after hours.
    Qualifications & Work Experience
    • Master's degree in Psychology (BCBA preferred) or related field of study
    • Valid NYS or out of state driver's license is required to conduct site visits to multiple sites/Residences
    • 1-3 years of OPWDD clinical experience preferred
    • Attains and maintains SCIP-R Certification
    • Maintains a cooperative relationship among teams by communicating information, responding to requests, building rapport & participating in team problem-solving methods
    • In-depth knowledge of OPWDD services, regulations and best practices required
    • Excellent communication, verbal, written and people skills are required
