    Description

    A global automotive-manufacturing company is seeking a Senior Manager of Employee Relations to support the HR initiatives for a new facility in Savanah, GA. Responsibilities include partnering with company leadership to develop and implement Employee Relations strategies that promote employee satisfaction and a high-performance culture.

    This is an onsite position in Savannah, GA and non-local candidates will be required to relocate. Relocation assistance is offered.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Act as the main driving force in the development and implementation of HR strategy related to Employee Relations to align with company goals and business culture
    • Effectively oversee escalated employee relations cases by conducting thorough investigations and administering a sound resolution that minimizes company exposure administration of policy as it relates to union guidelines
    • Actively participate in continual education and stay updated state and located employment law to ensure compliance
    • Development and execute learning & development opportunities for HR team to ensure compliance with state and federal guidelines
    • Utilize reporting tools to acquire and analyze metrics to support data driven decision-making
    • Advise and coach operations management and how to resolve employee relations issues and performance management
    • Collaborate with the Legal Dept. to ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations

    REQUIREMENTS

    • Minimum of 15 years of experience in employee relations or a closely related HR function, specifically within the automotive or manufacturing sectors.
    • In-depth expertise of state and federal laws pertaining to Employee Relations
    • Excellent negotiation skills with a proven track record of resolving complex ER cases successfully
    • Strong understanding of change management principles, methodologies, and best practices
    • Ability to embrace diversity and adapt to unique challenges of multicultural workplace
    • Must have strong analytical and critical thinking, problem-solving and decision-making skills
    • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to work with team-members at all levels of an organization
    • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources
    • JD highly preferred
