    The Technical Services Specialist works closely with the District Field Technology Specialist, local Sales teams, and Growers to support the use and adoption of regional customer technical service tools in Wilbur Ellis' Digital Solutions portfolio.

    This is a key role in the Digital Technology segment for Wilbur Ellis.


    Key Skills and Abilities Include:

    Required:

    BS in Agriculture Business or related studies or related experienceRequires excellent interpersonal skills between both customers and fellow employeesProficient with computers utilizing Microsoft Windows applicationsUnderstanding of production Ag cycles and systems regarding Nutrition, Fertility, and Irrigation Water ManagementProficient or become proficient in Ag GIS software utilization: AgVerdict, SMS, QGIS, etc.

    Ability to create relevant content and present it to large groups using PPT, Canva, Prezi, etc.

    Ability to adapt and evolve with the market demandsMay require occasional overnight travel Specific Responsibilities and Key Deliverables Include:

    Support Area Management, Field Sales, and Customers in the use of software and hardware associated with South San Joaquin Valley Digital Technology business offering.

    Develop and deliver relevant technology training to Field Sales and Customers as neededCommunicate and support the technology equipment standards throughout the regionInstallation, calibration, maintenance, and training of irrigation management equipment in the fieldAct as a resource for digital technology within the region through constant communication with Field Sales and the Field Technology SpecialistActively engage in hands-on use of equipment to demonstrate understanding and mastery of technology offeringsGather feedback from the field on current tech offerings and offer suggestions on possible new solutions or improvementsSupport customers and field sales with the introduction of new Irrigation management tools including but not limited to; Probe Schedule software, soil moisture monitoring equipment, pressure bomb/irrigation scheduling business, Soil Optix/Veris soil mapping solutions Compensation and Benefits:In compliance with all states and cities requiring transparency of pay, the base compensation for this position ranges from $67,700 to $90,240.

    Note that salary may vary based on location, skills, and experience.

    This position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus and vacation, holidays, health, dental, vision, mental health, retirement plans, and other benefits.
