    Join Our Team at Acuity! Customer Service Representative - Claims

    Acuity is looking for a Customer Service Representative - Claims who will be responsible for receiving loss information over the phone and electronically from insureds, agents, and claimants. The CSR will enter the information into the system, assign the claim, provide a rental car when necessary, and notify the handler. Additionally, this role will handle miscellaneous paperwork, bills, checks, and medical records, as well as manage glass, towing, and minor Workers' Compensation claims.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Input Automobile, Property, General Liability, and Workers' Compensation losses received through various channels into the Claim System.
    • Organize different claims documents efficiently.
    • Handle towing, roadside assistance, and auto glass claims processing and payments.
    • Manage the Workers' Compensation EXP9 queue, setting up and handling claims with minimal expected activity.
    • Match checks with provided attachments, prepare, fold, and mail checks daily.
    • Request claim payment audit letters and record all incoming responses.
    • Process medical bills received from providers, collaborate with the third-party reviewer CorVel, and resolve any discrepancies.
    • Ensure consistent and reliable attendance.
    • Complete any other duties as assigned.

    Requirements:

    • High school diploma.
    • Prior experience in data entry is necessary, customer service experience or training is a plus.

    Skills and Qualifications:

    • Excellent communication abilities suitable for a telephone-based service setting.
    • Availability to work between 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.
    • Proficiency with computers and a background in data entry. Achieve 6,000 - 6,500 keystrokes per hour on alphanumeric data entry with minimal errors.
    • Strong focus on detail.
    • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
    • Capable of adjusting priorities to ensure prompt loss reporting.
    • Near-perfect attendance and flexibility in scheduling are crucial for efficient claim servicing.
    • Willingness to share ideas and opinions during monthly unit meetings.
