Salary: $115,000

Job Summary: Looking for a talented Network Engineer who's a pro at setting up and supporting network and security systems primarily using Cisco, Fortinet, and HPE solutions. You'll be in charge of designing, implementing, and backing up our team's handling of customer networks. In this role, you'll team up with different departments to bring about fresh solutions that cater to the changing demands of our business.

Key Responsibilities:

PreSales Assistance:

Work closely with the Solution Architect/Engineer to grasp customer needs and provide technical support during pre-sales talks and presentations.
Aid in creating proposals for network and security solutions, covering solution layout, hardware/software picks, and pricing.
Handle technical questions and issues from potential clients, offering advice and suggestions to meet their particular requirements.
Keep on top of industry trends and rival offerings to effectively showcase our solutions and set them apart in the market.

Implementation:

Draft and plot the deployment of network and security solutions in line with client demands and top practices.
Set up and launch networking tools, such as routers, switches, firewalls, and VPN devices, in accordance with design specs.
Conduct tests and validation of implemented solutions to ensure they function, perform well, and adhere to security standards.
Collaborate with other teams to align implementation tasks and reduce disruption to daily operations.
Create records of setups, processes, and top practices to help with knowledge transfer and future issue fixing.

Support Operations:

Provide constant support for deployed network and security systems, tending to incidents, service demands, and alteration management tasks.
Fix network problems, pinpoint main causes, and take corrective steps to restore services and prevent future issues.
Monitor network performance and security status using monitoring tools and conduct proactive maintenance tasks as necessary.
Elevate complicated problems to higher-level support teams or external vendors for prompt resolution and minimal business impact.
Maintain precise records of incidents, service requests, and modifications in the ticketing system, sticking to set SLAs and KPIs.

Service Development:

Work with product management and engineering groups to pinpoint chances for service enhancements and new feature creation.
Engage in service design and growth projects, providing technical advice and suggestions to enhance product offerings.
Conduct studies and assessments of upcoming technologies and industry trends to shape service direction and strategy.
Contribute to producing service documentation, including user guides, educational resources, and knowledge base entries.
Get input from clients and stakeholders to gather feedback and ideas, pushing for continuous enhancement of our network and security services.

Qualifications:

Over 7 years of experience in network engineering, focusing on Cisco, Cisco Meraki, Fortinet, and HPE solutions.
Strong skills in configuring and dealing with Cisco routing and switching technologies (e.g., Cisco IOS, Catalyst, Nexus).
Experience in deploying and handling Fortinet firewall tools and security functionalities (e.g., FortiGate, FortiAnalyzer, FortiManager).
Awareness of HPE networking products and solutions, including Aruba switches and wireless access points.
Sound grasp of network protocols and technologies, including TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, and DNS.
Know-how in network monitoring and management tools (e.g., Auvik, OpsRamp)
Valuable certifications like CCNA, CCNP, Fortinet NSE, or HPE ASE are highly advantageous.
Great analytical and issue-solving abilities, with the knack to prioritize and handle multiple tasks in a lively setting.
Superb communication and relational skills, able to work effectively both solo and as part of a team.
