- Three to five years of related knowledge/experience in the installation, configuration and troubleshooting of multi-vendor network devices including switches, firewalls, and edge devices (routers and WAN optimizers.)
- n equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
- Demonstrate knowledge of basic CiscoTM IOS and NX-OS command output.
- The ability to work flexible hours and/or overtime as needed.
- Demonstrate customer service skills with the ability to interact with staff at various skill levels.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience and knowledge of supporting a large LAN/WAN environment
- Experience with disaster recovery and network failover
- Basic knowledge of DS3/DS1 technologies
- Intermediate knowledge of troubleshooting TCP\IP networks
- Intermediate knowledge of Cisco Firewalls
- Intermediate knowledge of Cisco IOS and NX-OS
- Intermediate knowledge configuring and using SNMP and Netflow
- Experience performing packet captures and interpreting the output
- Experience servicing customers via phone/email support
- Organizational skills and abilities to self-manage workload
- Capable of generating new ideas and continuous improvement efforts
- Share/Provide 24x7 coverage (on-call.)
- Perform other duties as instructed
