Your role at GEI. We are seeking a motivated geotechnical professional for the Woburn, Massachusetts (Boston) office to assist on a variety of projects throughout the region. Project types will include buildings, infrastructure and transportation, dams and levees, and waterfront development. Essential Responsibilities & Duties

Perform geotechnical engineering analyses and design.
Observe & manage field explorations and construction activities.
Coordination and interpretation of lab tests.
Perform geotechnical analyses, computations, prepare spreadsheets, prepare and edit drawings using AutoCad.
Prepare proposals, reports, and construction specifications.
Assist with proposals and business development activities.

Minimum Qualifications

B.S. in Civil Engineering; Master's in Geotechnical Engineering a plus.
Geotechnical course work required.
Structural course work a plus.
2-4+ years of experience.
Experience working in a team environment and meeting deadlines.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Working knowledge of CAD and other common software. Experience in Civil 3D or GIS a plus.
Willingness to travel on temporary assignment if needed.
Must have a valid driver's license and be willing to work in the field as needed.
Ability to perform field work in active constructions sites year-round without restrictions, and in inclement weather if required.
