    Join our team as a Veterinary Technician Manager at PAWS!

    Are you searching for a fulfilling leadership role in an organization making a real difference in the world? PAWS is on the lookout for a Veterinary Technician Manager to lead our dedicated team in Philadelphia. As a key player in our mission to make Philadelphia a no-kill city, you'll oversee a team of veterinary technicians and assistants working tirelessly to end pet homelessness and provide top-notch care to animals in need.

    Responsibilities:

    • Lead and mentor veterinary technicians and assistants to uphold PAWS' values
    • Create and implement training processes
    • Conduct performance evaluations and reviews
    • Coordinate continuing education opportunities
    • Ensure proper staffing for all operations
    • Collaborate with the local veterinary community
    • Maintain medical supplies and equipment
    • Handle after-hours emergency medical situations

    Required skills and qualities:

    • Minimum of two years' management experience in the veterinary field
    • Passion for providing quality veterinary care and saving animals
    • Knowledge of common diseases in cats and dogs
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google products

    Educational Requirements:

    • CVT/LVT license required
    • Post-secondary education in veterinary science preferred, BA/BS preferred
    • Fear-Free Certification preferred

    Physical Requirements:

    • Ability to stand throughout the workday
    • Capability to lift objects and animals up to 50 pounds
