    Responsibilities

    We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Fort Worth, Texas.

    Undertake routine tasks in designing new products and enhancing existing ones. Assess products, parts, or processes for cost-effectiveness and reliability. Supervised work to ensure timely completion. Proficient in industry best practices within the discipline. Solve routine issues and escalate complex problems as needed.

    Roles & Responsibilities

    • Prioritize Quality, Health & Safety, Security, and Environment protection while avoiding risks to employees, processes, customers, and communities
    • Strive for continuous improvement in Health, Safety, Security, Environment protection, exceeding customer expectations through responsible care, process enhancements, and best practices
    • Demonstrate safety leadership in health and safety arrangements for all subordinates and visitors on premises
    QUALITY
    • Familiarity with the Company's Quality policies, actively participating in compliance and enhancing Weatherford's Management System
    • Focus on service quality across all business areas, identifying opportunities for improvement
    OPERATIONS
    • Engage in engineering tasks within the Product Development Process, including strength analysis, material selection, and cost estimation
    • Adapt existing products to meet customer requirements, create engineering layouts, and prepare necessary documentation
    • Coordinate prototype manufacturing and conduct experimental test programs
    • Analyze data to ensure products meet technical specifications, recommend solutions for failures, and utilize engineering software for complex analysis
    • Lead specific project tasks and provide support within the Product Development Process
    COMMUNICATION
    • Maintain effective communication with key stakeholders internally and externally
    • Clearly define expectations, roles, and responsibilities to subordinates
    FINANCIAL
    • Accountability for financial responsibility within approved budgets and following financial policies
    PEOPLE & DEVELOPMENT
    • Take charge of personal career development, engage with managers to enhance skills, performance, and career growth
    VISION & LEADERSHIP
    • Show leadership, ethical behavior, and adherence to Weatherford standards consistently
    Qualifications

    Experience & Education

    REQUIRED
    • Bachelor's Degree in mechanical engineering with 5 years of relevant experience
    PREFERRED
    • Passed the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam (FE)
    • Member of a professional society such as the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) or the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME Equivalent)
    • 5 years of downhole oilfield related experience
    Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

    REQUIRED
    • Independent engineer with the ability to make decisions based on available information
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, Solidworks, or Creo 3D CAD software
    • Strong technical problem-solving skills and eagerness to learn
    Travel Requirement:

    This role may involve domestic and international travel, up to 10%
