- Advise and coach Mechanics to assemble mechanical components according to specifications.
- Inspect transmissions and run diagnostic tests to discover functionality issues.
- Conduct repairs disassembling transmission unit and replacing broken or worn parts, such as seals, bearings, gears, and valves among other things.
- Ensure work area and all tools clean and organized.
- Keep supplies ready by inventorying stock, placing orders, verifying receipt.
- Keep logs of work and report on issues.
- Undertake other duties as assigned (e.g., perform maintenance tasks, fill transmissions and other equipment with specified fluids, load/unload truck, etc.)
- 5-10 years of experience
- High knowledge of machinery, hydraulic, electrical, and other systems.
- Aptitude in using hand tools (wrenches, screwdrivers, hammers, etc.), precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.) and diagnostic equipment (pressure sensors, multimeter, power supply units, etc.).
- Ability to follow established procedures and practices and read instruction, blueprints, etc.
- Proactive attitude towards work, teamwork, and cooperation.
- Strong attention to detail with an aptitude for problem-solving and leadership.

Job DescriptionSAPA Transmission in its growth in the U.S.A. is looking for a highly skilled Mechanic to assemble, maintain and repair tracked vehicle transmissions for the US Army. You as a Field Service Representative will join to our Engineering Department in a leadership role over all Mechanics, and will be responsible for ensuring quality, functionality, reliability, and performance of our transmissions. The FSR is the SME of SAPA transmissions for the US.
