    Description

    Job Summary

    Assist with the Student Success Program at the College of Nursing (off-campus and in-seat students). Provide academic support for BSN Students. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Serve as a resource for faculty.
  • Serve as a resource for individual students related to academic and personal issues.
  • Coordinates student test-taking skills, reviews, and prep sessions.
  • Coordinates the Peer Mentor program.
  • Provide end-of-program testing preparation and math remediation for students.
  • Instruct Student Success course for at-risk students.
  • Provides administrative oversight for Student Success programming and instruction.
  • Guides strategic planning and oversees quality monitoring of Student Success programming.
  • Performs other duties assigned.
    • Minimum Qualifications
  • Master's Degree with at least two years of teaching experience in nursing or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Leadership experience.
  • Experience as a skilled classroom teacher.
  • Current license as a Registered Nurse in the State of Texas.
  • Expertise in specific subject matter of upper-division clinical nursing courses.
    • Preferred Qualifications
  • Doctorate Degree.
  • Experience with counseling and coaching students.
    • Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Ability to work with learners who have specific needs.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with students.
  • Ability to negotiate solutions to problems and opportunities.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
