    Description

    Position Overview:
    We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced System Test Engineer to join our dynamic team.

    The ideal candidate will have a strong background in programming, industry-specific experience in telecommunications, and proficiency in various data traffic test/analysis tools.

    This role requires a deep understanding of data networking and operating systems, as well as the ability to work in an agile environment.


    Key Responsibilities:
    Develop and execute detailed test plans for telecommunications systems, including DSL, PON, and DOCSIS technologies.
    Utilize programming skills in

    C++ ,

    Java , and

    Python

    to automate test cases and enhance testing frameworks.
    Apply knowledge of Ethernet networking applications and data networking to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
    Design and implement tests using data traffic test/analysis tools such as

    IXIA ,

    Spirent ,

    Smartbits ,

    Traffic Generator ,

    Ostinato , and

    Wireshark .
    Engage in embedded programming and ensure adherence to object-oriented design principles.
    Conduct tests on Layer 2 (L2) and Layer 3 (L3) networking, including protocols such as

    BGP ,

    MPLS ,

    OSPF , and

    Routing .
    Work with software-defined networking solutions and Broadcom technologies, leveraging experience from companies like Cisco.
    Operate within Linux and RTOS environments, perform driver work, and manage PCIE interfaces.
    Emphasize real-time performance and reliability in system testing.



    Qualifications:
    Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
    Minimum of 3 years of experience in system testing within the telecommunications industry.
    Strong proficiency in C++, Java, and Python programming languages.
    Experience with Agile methodologies and object-oriented design/programming.
    Familiarity with embedded programming concepts.
    Proficient in using data traffic test/analysis tools and knowledge of data networking programming.
    Experience with Linux, RTOS, and driver development.
    Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
    Effective communication and teamwork abilities.

    Preferred

    Qualifications:
    Previous work experience at Cisco or similar industry-leading companies.
    Contributions to open-source projects or public GitHub repositories.
