    Description

    The Compliance Specialist is responsible for assisting with Compliance Program administration for a
    large, and still growing, ophthalmology management services organization, which currently consists of
    135 providers, 60 clinical sites, 11 ASCs, and 1500 employees in 5 states.

    Key Responsibilities


    ESSENTIAL DUTIES
    Administer the Company's Compliance Training and Education Program.
    Administer the Company's OIG Exclusion List screening program.
    Assist with the Company's new affiliate Compliance integration process.
    Prepare and distribute various Compliance materials and resources.
    Conduct, or assist with, Compliance investigations, as needed.
    Render Compliance advice throughout the organization.
    Exercise discretion and independent judgment in evaluating and providing useful insights on Compliance matters
    Contribute to the team effort by completing other tasks/projects as needed.

    Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

    QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENT

    Bachelor's Degree required, preferably in healthcare or a related field. Will consider 5-10 years of related experience in lieu of degree requirement.
    3-5 years of healthcare compliance experience, ideally in a multisite provider setting.
    Either have, or will obtain, a healthcare Compliance certification, within one year of start.
    This position is domiciled in either Ohio or Michigan, working from a home office. No moving
    allowance will be offered.
    Up to 33% overnight travel .
    Intermediate computer skills including Microsoft Office; especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
    Excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to interact effectively and professionally with
    individuals at all levels; both internal and external.
    Exercises sound judgment in responding to inquiries; understands when to route inquiries to next level.
    Self-motivated with strong organizational skills and superior attention to detail.
    Must be able to manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously within inflexible time frames.
    Ability to adapt to frequent priority changes.
    Team player that develops strong collaborative working relationships with internal partners and can effectively engage and ability to build consensus among cross-functional teams
    Strong problem solving and negotiation skills
