This position is an onsite role.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:


  • Prepare for and support contract negotiations
  • Develop and maintain an effective relationship with Local and International Union representatives
  • Develop successful relationship, and collaborate with teams, and HR functional partners in support of represented employees and business operations
  • Act as a grievance POC for the company
  • Prepare for grievances in the final step of the process prior to arbitration
  • Assist with the preparation for and participate in arbitrations as the company advocate
  • Lead Labor Relations efforts from daytoday activities to strategic contractual implementations, grievance, and negotiations activity
  • Advise all levels of management in the interpretation of the law and collective bargaining agreements
  • Develop and execute a negotiations strategy (noneconomic and economic proposals)
  • Develop and provide training in all related areas to supervisors and managers
  • Drive improved organizational performance by maximizing organizational capability
  • Serve as advisor, mentor and coach for leaders to facilitate achievement of objectives and improve performance and potential
  • Establish programs and processes to facilitate creation of a positive work environment, conduct site assessments/audits
  • Drive Labor Relations policy, processes and practices to ensure effective execution and compliance
  • Lead and participate in HR projects that support business and HR initiatives
  • Partner with operations/managers on issues including manpower alignment, hiring, promotions, transfers, and reductionsinforce

Basic Qualifications:


  • Typically requires a university degree with 8 years of Labor Relations, Human Resource, business related experience or an advanced degree with 5 years of related experience or an Associate's degree with 10 years of related experience or in the absence of the degree, 12 years of related experience.
  • 3+ years of labor relations experience
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. RTX will not offer sponsorship for this position.

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Experience managing grievances
  • Experience working with collective bargaining agreements and Labor Relations organizations
  • Experience in supporting union contract negotiations including developing or editing contract language
  • Industrial/Manufacturing experience
  • Ability to collaborate effectively and independently with individuals at all levels in the organization including executives
  • Knowledge of applicable state and federal employment, labor, and compliance requirements
  • Strong presentation, facilitation and communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
