    Description

    Job Summary:
    Basic Engineering Concepts & Technologies, Inc. (BecTech) is a Small Business Program Management and Engineering Services provider to Department of Defense (DoD) Agencies. BecTech is seeking professional candidates to fill the position of full-time Model Based Systems Engineer in Crystal City, VA.


    Job Responsibilities:


    Develop models, architectural products, and digital artifacts for a system and/or System-of-Systems (SoS) in line with established standards, best practices, policies, and procedures.

    Apply modeling techniques to support various stages of the acquisition lifecycle, including requirements setting, design, analysis, verification, and validation for systems or SoS.

    Provide crucial support to ensure that systems are designed and developed to be interoperable, facilitating effective communication and interaction among various system components.

    Produce detailed reports that inform and guide the management of MBSE and digital environment activities, aiding in strategic decision-making processes.

    Manage and coordinate information and resources effectively to achieve objectives related to the digital thread, ensuring seamless data integration and flow across the system lifecycle.

    Implement and promote a model-based culture within the organization, leveraging the capabilities of the digital enterprise environment infrastructure to enhance system development and operations.

    Utilize model data to enable the creation of a comprehensive digital thread that integrates with other engineering disciplines, such as cybersecurity and configuration management, fostering a holistic approach to system development.


    Required Education/Experience:
    Requires minimum of 4 years of experience; More than 7 years of experience is preferred.
    Bachelor's degree in an engineering field is required; Master's degree in a technical field preferred.
    Demonstrated ability to follow direction and work within a team.
    Good interpersonal, problem-solving, and organizational skills
    Possess good communication skills.
    Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
    Able to obtain and retain a security clearance.


    ADA SPECIFICATIONS:
    Regular physical activity to include walking, climbing stairs, and standing; frequent period of prolonged sitting may be required.
    Ability to speak, read, hear, and write, with or without assistance.


    OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

    Travel:
    Less than 5% expected
