We are looking for a
Senior Advisor (m/f/d) to join our team in Spartanburg, SC starting on December 1st, 2023.

The position is based in Dresden-Klotzsche and the surrounding northern areas and is a permanent, part-time role with 30 hours per week.


Responsibilities:


  • Independently provide comprehensive and individualized advice to the target group
  • Identify individual problems and provide appropriate advice and support to access suitable services and selfhelp measures
  • Develop and implement standardized and goaloriented support plans; document in case management software
  • Create specialized concepts based on the senior work and elderly care plan of the city of Dresden
  • Facilitate and support community initiatives
  • Establish and maintain cooperative relationships and networks with other local institutions, projects, and initiatives
  • Conduct effective and targeted public relations
  • Reflect on social pedagogical work

Requirements:


  • Degree in social pedagogy
  • Knowledge and experience in counseling
  • Familiarity with social legislation, particularly SGB IX to XII
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently
  • Willingness to work flexible hours (including evening and weekend events)
  • Proficiency in computer and social media applications
  • Empathy and respect for the issues and life situations of older people
  • Openness to dialogue, honesty, empathy, and willingness to reflect
  • Valid driver's license (Class B)
  • Identification with the values and goals of the Dresden City
