Midway Apprenticeship for Power and Gas Network Maintenance


Power and gas networks are not just a piece of infrastructure - they are the lifeblood of our daily lives.

They drive the economy and facilitate our daily interactions.


They bring energy to the right place at the right time: 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

As a network technician at E.DIS after your apprenticeship as an electrician for industrial engineering, you will be the driving force behind these networks.

Apprenticeship duration: 3.5 years


Focus areas in vocational school:

  • Basics of electrical engineering
  • Electrical installation
  • Control engineering/regulation technology
  • Electrical energy supply
  • Electronics
  • Programmable logic controllers
  • Drive technology
The vocational school is the Technical Vocational School in Rostock and is taught in block form. You will alternate between vocational school and the company.

Focus areas in the training center and company:
During your apprenticeship, you will learn all tasks in the field of electrical:

  • Energy technology
  • Installation, assembly, and maintenance of energy supply, automation, IT and network technology, as well as control and regulation technology systems
  • Maintenance and repair of distribution networks
  • Maintenance and repair of transformer and substation
  • Maintenance and configuration of metering units
  • Connection of renewable energy systems (e.g. solar technology)
