Description

UCLA's Center for the Art of Performance (CAP UCLA) is seeking a Community Projects & Operations Manager to oversee community partnerships and management of The Nimoy theater, CAP UCLA's newest home for the performing arts.

The Community Projects & Operations Manager will work closely with CAP's program and production team to ensure the effectiveness of all Nimoy programming and operations.

This position will oversee community partner use of The Nimoy, which will include developing, guiding and updating rental and special project policies and procedures.

In partnership with CAP's Production Manager, the Community Projects & Operations Manager will work with CAP UCLA's finance department to find and secure the appropriate vendors both for purchasing and services, and with support and guidance from the University, will be responsible for the facilitation of the general upkeep of The Nimoy:
ensuring all safety, health city, state and federal compliance protocols and guidelines are met.

The Community Projects & Operations Manager is ideal for someone who enjoys engaging with people - artists, staff and program participants; audience members, students, community partners, and visitors, and is eager to balance administration with responsibilities that require hands-on activities (not sitting in front of a computer).

The Community Projects & Operations Manager will also be someone with an entrepreneurial spirit who will help to grow earned revenue through partnership programming, and will work closely with the Executive and Artistic Director on a business plan that will leverage the potential of the building to provide both community accessibility and income.

The position requires someone who is nimble, even tempered, and able to remain focused and composed in the face of shifting and competing demands in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
