Qualifications

  • Extensive work experience in procurement at a similar level of complexity and responsbility. (required)
  • Extensive work experience in procurement at a similar level of complexity and responsibility. Excellent negotiation skills and demonstrated ability to establish effective supplier relationships and performance expectations for suppliers and alliances. (required)
  • Strong leadership, organizational and administrative skills related to procurement, preferably developed within a large, complex organization and demonstrated ability to implement process improvements to enhance productivity and streamline work processes. (required)
  • Working knowledge of the overall supply process employed at large, complex organizations including receiving, shipping, purchasing operations, strategic sourcing, eprocurement, supply operations, common carriers, suppliers, and administrative functions. (required)
  • Demonstrated ability to utilize Purchasing systems effectively and perform complex, qualitative Requests for Proposal (RFP) as well as Requests for Quote (RFQ) and Requests for Information (RFI). (required)
  • Working knowledge of general ethical concepts that guide relationships between buyer and seller and techniques to maintain effective supplier alliances and of internal control concepts and techniques; Knowledge of external and internal audit practices. (required)
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement strategic planning processes, benchmarking, organizational performance measures. Identify diplomatically, yet assertively/constructively short/longrange goals to establish priorities. Ability to function effectively in a crisis and maintain equanimity. (required)
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze complex information and formulate logical and objective conclusions and action plans. Ability to articulate analysis, options and conclusions orally and in writing. (required)
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, using appropriate vocabulary considering the audience, for the purposes of influencing, informing, eliciting, counseling, persuading, mediating, negotiating in groups and oneonone and to work collaboratively. (required)
