- Remote, reviewers must reside within the United States.
- Pay rate: Starting at $22 per hour
- Duration depends on the project; opportunities vary from 1 week to 6 months; possibly longer.
- Must be able to commit to a minimum of 40 hours per week between 9 AM ET and 5 PM ET/8 AM CT and 4 PM CT.
- Overtime may be available based on individual project demands, at the discretion of the end client.
- An associate degree or equivalent is required.
- An Electronic Health Records Specialist Certificate (CEHRS) or a similar professional coding certification is desired.
- Minimum 1 year of medical records coding experience.
- An understanding of ICD-10, CPT codes, billing codes, and medical terminology.
- Experience reviewing and coding medical records, patient charts, billing, and insurance documents.
- Maintains required standard of performance in both coding accuracy and productivity.
- Participates in coaching, training, and education as necessary.
- Strong attention to detail and critical thinking skills
- An ability to retain and follow complex work direction.
- An ability to accurately track and enter hours.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- An optimistic approach to all tasks and responsibilities.
- High proficiency in the use of modern technology, especially computers, and related remote work office equipment.
- Experience in electronically reviewing documents using our various review platforms including Relativity, Canopy, and Nebula is preferred but not required.
- A secure home office with high-speed internet access and a Mac or PC with Windows 10 or newer operating system is required. A second monitor is strongly recommended.
