JOB SUMMARY DESCRIPTION / PRIMARY PURPOSE OF JOB

Technical leadership working across the global enterprise with product management, business partners, customers, project managers/scrum masters, business analysts, developers, testers and architectural teams to help define strategy, identify requirements, drive consensus on technical design and participate in the development of the end to end solutions.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES/RESULTS

Leverage current and evolving technologies to design, code, test, log, debug, document, and analyze current and future applications; all with the goals of Maintainability, Security, Availability, and Scalability.
Ensure standards and best practices are met through:
Work with Application/Enterprise Architects to establish development and deployment standards
Lead regular code reviews
Assist in measuring and analyzing results of final products
Iterate on design and functionality with our Product Owners and development team
Work with product management, business analysts, developers, testers, and architectural teams to define strategy, design, and functionality.
Lead communication and execution with development teams, business partners and our customers. Present to multiple audiences.
Assist team members in resolving and identifying issues by providing knowledge and technical expertise.
Evaluate and recommend software and hardware solutions to meet user needs.
Drive consensus on technical approach from design through delivery, including monitoring
Provide technical guidance and mentoring to other developers
Help identify and manage negative team moods include rallying team when needed
Create prototypes (POCs) of new ideas

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Minimum Education, Certification and Experience Requirements

Education

BS/BA Computer Science / Engineering OR Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or closely related field

Experience

Required

5 years Software Engineering/Development experience (with BS/BA)
5+ years of full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) experience
Experience driving continuous process improvement
2+ years' experience in web app/service development
3+ years' experience with .NET technologies
2+ years' experience with SQL

Preferred

Experience architecting modular microservices based application using .NET / C# technology
Experience implementing solutions levering the cloud (Azure, Google)
Experience with .NET Core
Experience with Sitecore
Experience with Web API 2.0
Understanding of architecture, on-site, co-location and cloud technologies
Experience with middle-ware development using tools such as Boomi, Tibco, Talend, etc.
Experience in a highly regulated industry such as medical or banking

Knowledge / Technical Requirements

Well versed in client server environment, three tier environment and N-tier environments
Robust knowledge and understanding of relational databases
Working knowledge of XML/JSON and using 3rd party API's.
Good knowledge of architectural considerations for B2B web sites like scalability, availability, CDNs, Azure/cloud deployment
