Description

Develop a secure and PCI compliant Document Exchange portal for allowing exchange of documents between Bank customers and employees as well as between Bank employees.

Java Springboot / React / Rancher stack.
Top 5-10 responsibilities for this position:

Strong technology design and programming skills along with experience as a Dev Lead
Ability to translate user requirements into designs and working software that also support the non-functional requirements of the system
Familiarity with agile practices including story writing and story pointing
Participate in Agile story refinement including asking clarifying questions, proposing design solutions, helping to story point work
Produce detail oriented work that includes implementing stories as specified (or seeking changes to the story when needed), testing code through unit and functional tests including testing of edge cases, ensuring code is clearly written and commented for future developers
Ability to document software through in-line code comments, wiki documentation, user story documentation
Actively participate in other team agile ceremonies including the sprint retrospective to help improve the teams performance
Ability to independently solve problems of various natures including troubleshooting your own and others code, build/deploy pipeline problems, behaviors that appear only in deployed components
Ability to seek help from others on the team and through organizational resources such a Yammer and StackEnterprise when needed
Proactively provide assistance to others on the team
Familiarity with secure coding practices
Ability to lead and participate constructively in code reviews both as a reviewee and as a reviewer

Skills/technologies are required:

Design and develop of REST webservices using Java Spring Boot
Design and develop of background processors using Java
Experience with building React based UIs or strong experience building back end services that support React based clients with ability to lead UX development team members
Possess basic SQL database skills including the ability to create/modify database schemas
Ability to integrate to Systems of Record through REST and SOAP webservices
Familiarity with Docker / Kubernetes / Rancher including

o Ability to build components targeted to run in Docker including building Dockerfiles
o Ability to configure and troubleshoot Kubernetes deployments
o Ability to use Rancher to manage and troubleshoot Kubernetes deployment

Ability to write unit tests including the ability to test code in isolation through the use of mocks
Familiarity with scripting deployments through the use of Jenkins and troubleshooting deployment issues
Familiarity with Git and with branching. merging, and resolving merge conflicts

Skills/attributes are preferred (these are a desired, not required):

Leading junior development staff including offshore team members
Familiarity with document management concepts is a plus
Familiarity with Javascript and React development is a plus

Interview process:
o 2 rounds (screening followed by panel round)
o Video screening, 1 or 2 in-person for panel
o Very technical + leadership and behavioral questions
