- Develop, implement, and execute strategic marketing plans for the organization, programs, and services.
- Direct marketing and communications staff to introduce new approaches and achieve better outcomes.
- 1 Month: Understand AAVSB's values, objectives, programs, services, and current marketing processes.
- 3 Months: Evaluate and improve marketing processes, establish key relationships with consultants.
- 6 Months: Implement process improvements, provide a mid-year report, and plan for the Annual Meeting & Conference.
- 12 Months: Effectively manage all marketing activities, collaborate with stakeholders, and prepare budget requests for the following year.

- Required: Degree in marketing, business administration, or related field. 3-5 years of marketing and communications experience.
- Preferred: Prior marketing management, agency, or association experience. Industry-specific certification is a plus.
- Full-time exempt position reporting to the Senior Manager of Membership & Marketing.
- Salary Range: $62,000 - $67,000 annually.
- Position based at AAVSB headquarters in Overland Park, Kansas, with potential for virtual work and travel within North America.

We are seeking an innovative and outcome-focused leader to join our marketing and communications team as a Marketing & Communications Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for developing strategic marketing plans, establishing brand consistency, and enhancing participation in AAVSB programs and services. The ideal candidate should possess strong marketing and communications acumen, exceptional interpersonal skills, good judgment, and be an excellent collaborator.
