- Obtain plans for bidding
- Determine scope of work
- Identify and contact potential subcontractors
- Accurately estimate the cost of the bid
- Prepare the bid for submission
- Lead external and internal Pre-Con meetings
- Produce and regularly update project schedules
- Identify and negotiate change orders with clients and engineers
- Communicate with Project Accountant to create project budget, produce subcontract and purchase orders, monthly billings and project close-out
- Monthly reporting of anticipated change order and projected costs to create accurate profitability forecasts
- Cultivate new client relationships and maximize current client relationships
- Prioritization of daily activities while working towards strategic goals
- 2 years minimum Project Management experience
- Ability to accurately read and interpret plans/blueprints
- Creative problem solving skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Detailed and organized
- Post-secondary education in construction or engineering related disciplines a plus
- Experience in Construction software a plus: We use Bluebeam, Agtek, Civil 3D, HCSS (HeavyBid & HeavyJob), MS Project
