    Responsibilities of a Volunteer Coordinator:


    Source and recruit volunteers through various techniquesCollect information on availabilities and skillsArrange appropriate trainings when neededProduce schedules for activities in coordination with the Activity DirectorAssign responsibilities to the right people for special events in coordination the the Activity DirectorCommunicates frequently with volunteers to ensure that they are satisfied and well placed, ensure that Volunteers are recognized for their workDisseminate information about upcoming events and needs to our EldersKeep detailed records of volunteer's information and assignments, including but not limited to tracking hoursWork with staff, new groups and volunteers to develop new events to enrich the lives of the Elders in our careWork with the Philanthropy department to attract new talent and offer assistance through volunteers for major eventsImplement trainings and orientation for all new volunteersCoordinate and work with the meaningful life coordinator to enrich the lives of the Elders at the Green House homes.

    Participate in meetings including department head, safety, and Quality Improvement.

    Assist with facility special events including employee recognition, Saint Elizabeth Community events, Rosebids, annual meeting, and others as requested by the Administrator.

    Coordinate and meet monthly with the friends group. Help this group to decide the course of action that they would like to take over the next month.


    Qualifications for a Volunteer Coordinator:
    Bachelor's degree preferred.
    One year of relevant experience preferred.
    One year of experience in a long term care setting preferred.
