- This position is responsible for developing technical documentation for products, with a focus on user manuals, service literature, operator manuals, and installation guides..
- Research, develop and edit content for global technical documents such as user manuals, service literature, operator manuals, and other technical guides.
- Determine effective layout and structure for complex manuals and other technical documentation.
- Create artwork for technical documents as needed.
- Work with technical team and cross-departmentally to ensure accurate representation of complex technical data, drawings, and specifications.
- Ensure appropriate technical content and terminology review and approvals.
- Work with technical team to streamline and improve processes, particularly when it comes to digitizing or automating workflows and documentation.
- Maintain corporate identity and design standards/guidelines globally.
- Assist with company website technical documentation updates and other digital assets as needed.
- BA/BS Degree in Technical Writing, Technical Communication, Engineering (or related field), or equivalent work experience required.
- 4+ years' experience in engineering or work creating technical support documentation (technical illustration and technical writing).
- Mechanical/technical aptitude required.
- Basic understanding of electronics, hydraulics, programmable controllers, and engineering drawings/documentation.
- Proficient editing and proofing capabilities.
- Knowledge of website and database integration plus automation experience preferred.
- Experience with Adobe Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop).
- SolidEdge or equivalent solid modeling/drafting experience preferred.
- Exceptional time management and organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple assignments.
