    Description

    Job Description:

    • Follows safety and compounding procedures as outlined in the Lab Tech Manual
    • Maintains a clean and safe work area, adhering to safety regulations and procedures, understanding the hazards of handling chemicals
    • Accurately measures ingredients using scales, records substitutions and over-pours, and seeks supervisor approval
    • Compounds complex formulations accurately and promptly to meet deadlines
    • Compounds formulas for Perfumers and sample requests efficiently
    • Provides assistance to Perfumers upon request
    • Assists with inventory management for Lab supplies and organizes warehouse inventory accurately
    • Creates inventory lists for order placement, stocks supplies, and labels containers of raw materials
    • Measures flash points for sample submissions
    • Packs approved batches by labeling bottles for shipping
    • Ensures equipment is in good working condition and maintains cleanliness
    • Replenishes bottles with oils following Lab Tech Manual Procedures
    • Completes end-of-day procedures including filing powders, repacking, and housekeeping
    • Assists with new employee training as required
    • Prints formulas requested by Fragrance Design Department
    • Organizes and prioritizes projects with sample coordinator and/or Application Lab
    • Checks compounding lab email and responds promptly
    • Checks stock of raw materials when needed for production
    • Gathers bottles from the library as necessary for new orders or QC investigations
    • Maintains records of new orders by gathering bottles or printing formulas if not in stock
    • Performs other duties as necessary

    Job Skills & Qualifications:

    Bachelor's degree in the sciences

    Experience with pipetting
