    Summary
    The Adrian Dominican School of Education has a variety of educational programs. The school is organized into three Units. The School Psychology Program is part of the Curriculum, Pedagogy and Research Unit. Students have an option of first earning an MS, followed by the state-approved Specialist (SSP) degree. Both the MS and SSP meet requirements in accordance with standards set by the National Association of School Psychologists (NASP). The Florida Department of Education and the National Association of School Psychologists approve the School Psychology Program.

    The School Psychology positions (Assistant/Associate Professor) is a full-time faculty line. The Assistant/Associate Professor position requires a Doctoral Degree in School Psychology with three years of experience as a school psychologist. Applicants for the Assistant/Associate faculty position must be eligible for licensure as a School Psychologist or Psychologist. A successful candidate for the position must be open to collaborating with diverse individuals, fostering community, and social justice.

    Anticipated Start Date: August 2024.

    Essential Functions
    If hired for the Assistant/Associate Professor rank:

    Teaching courses in the School Psychology Program and provides oversite of the Psychoeducational Assessment Clinic. It is expected that the faculty member will actively engage in research. The full-time faculty member will share in the governance of School Psychology Program, advise School Psychology students and supervise student research projects. Position also requires participation in University and School of Education meetings that are directly related to the School Psychology Program or Psychoeducational Assessment Clinic.

    Qualifications/Requirements
    Doctoral degree in School Psychology

    Comprehensive knowledge of the critical issues in the field of School Psychology

    Comprehensive knowledge of curriculum and best practices in the area of School Psychology

    Higher education/university level teaching experience

    Experience using online learning management systems (i.e., Canvas)

    Ability and willingness to work cooperatively with other faculty to resolve both programmatic and student-related issues

    Proficient writing skills
