    The Department of Global & Sociocultural Studies in the Steven J.

    Green School of International and Public Affairs at Florida International University is searching for an Assistant Professor of Cultural Anthropology who specializes in gender in local, global and /or transnational contexts.

    The position will start in Fall 2024.

    Candidates whose work reflects one or more of the Green School's strategic research themes, such as migration/diaspora, global inequalities, human rights/democratization, or economic development/sustainability, are particularly encouraged to apply.

    We also welcome work from a range of critical perspectives, including (but not limited to) decolonial/postcolonial, feminist/intersectional, DuBoisian, and queer critiques.

    The ideal candidate will be able to teach courses in Cultural Anthropology, including Ethnographic Research Methods, while contributing to a highly interdisciplinary department.

    The candidate will teach a regular 2-2 load for the Department's vibrant undergraduate and doctoral programs. A Ph.
    D. in Anthropology or a closely related field is required and must be in-hand by August 12, 2024.
