- Cleans all areas of kitchen, equipment, floors, trash etc.;
- Prepares food for patients/ employees/ cafeteria dissemination and other special activities.
- Check incoming stock and food orders.
- Assists in serving food in cafeteria line, assures a continuous flow of food is prepared.
- Assists on special projects when requested; Performs additional tasks as requested;
- Takes necessary precautions for self and others when using equipment and chemicals (i.e. gloves, hair nets, etc.);
- Observes confidentiality and safeguards all patient and employee related information.
- Attends all required inservices annually: Fire, disaster, and safety and updates Infection Control and updates Administrative policies and procedures Crisis Intervention and updates
- High school diploma or equivalency
- Ability to read, write and follow written instruction and recipes.
- Experience in preparing food in bulk quantities preferred. Previous experience, preferably in a hospital, hotel or other institutional setting
- Ability to work with others in a team environment.
- Availability for VARIED SHIFTS, 6:00am 2:30pm, 10:00 am 6:30 pm, Monday-Friday, Alternating Weekends.
- Provide service to all populations while demonstrating the Service Excellence Standards.
