- Establishes, implements, and communicates the strategic direction of the Sun Day Red operations division.
- Collaborates with leadership to develop projects and programs to meet company goals.
- Creates and standardizes the embroidery processes and programs (internal and external).
- Builds an Embroidery & Customization team that delivers best in class artwork, quality and speed to market.
- Owns the monthly Sun Day Red S&OP process including all related supply/demand functional meetings.
- Partners with internal and external IT providers in defining systematic processes across the organization.
- Oversees Customer Service & Order Management, providing best in class service to all distribution channels.
- Responsible for the workflow through the North American Distribution Center and third party embellishment houses.
- Responsible for managing inventory levels and meeting appropriate monthly/yearly budgets.
- Manages MRP and factory scheduling process in support of MTS and MTO (custom) replenishment models.
- Collaborate with Logistics & Distribution Center teams in support of product distribution and service targets.
- Creates and implements new measurements to benchmark and identify areas of improvement.
- Manages departmental cost centers, including monthly reforecasts, to deliver against Annual Operating Plan.
- Manages capacity constrained supply requirements which support service, inventory, and cost objectives.
- Responsible for the development of SKU level demand plans which align to financial forecasts.
- Establishes vision, approves design, and ensures implementation of Customer Services training programs.
- Leads, builds, develops, and motivates a strong team of individuals to perform at the highest level; facilitates and fosters a continuous learning and collaboration environment within the team.
- Performs other related duties and assignments as required.
- Understanding and experience with lean/six sigma practices, learn and six-sigma certifications preferred.
- Proven ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Strong English written and verbal communication skills and ability to interact with all levels.
- Ability to accurately assess talent and effectively motivate and influence others to build skills, efficiently accomplish tasks, and develop leading edge processes.
- Bachelor's degree in business or related field
- 10+ years of relevant Operations experience
- 5+ years of experience in managing and developing teams
- ASCM/CPIM Certification preferred.
- Normal office conditions
- Ability to work extended hours as necessary.
- Occasional travel required.
- Able to work efficiently and accurately in an atmosphere of frequent interruption.
- Light physical effort equals frequent lifting or moving of lightweight materials.

Description
The Director of Operations will plan, direct, coordinate, and oversee the operational activities of the Sun Day Red brand. In this new role, the Director will ensure the development and implementation of best-in-class, standardized processes and cost-effective systems while driving the end-to-end Operational strategy. Initially the candidate will be focused on the creation of key processes such as inventory turns, service levels, embroidery, supply planning and profitability. Systemically the incumbent will adapt these best-in-class processes into a multi system environment ensuring top-quality and on-time delivery performance. The Director will be accountable for the communication of all Sun Day Red Key Performance Indicator (KPI) analysis and improvement plans as part of the monthly Executive S&OP process.
