Required Education/Experience:


  • Minimum of a BS Degree. MBA preferred.
  • Eight to 10 years in a leadership role in a heavy manufacturing industry.

Responsibilities:


  • Lead the creation and sustainment of a shop floor culture where safety is a value and always comes before production.
  • Maintain a clean and organized plant environment.
  • Responsible for plant production goals and for the coordination of plant operations while maintaining compliance with company policies and procedures. Improve the operational systems, processes, and policies in support of organizational goals
- specifically, support better management reporting, information flow and management, business process and organizational succession planning.

  • Manage and increase the effectiveness and efficiency of Support Services (HR, Quality, SCM and Finance), through improvements to each function as well as coordination and communication between support and business functions.
  • Play a significant role in longterm planning, including an initiative geared toward operational excellence.
  • Oversee overall financial management, planning, systems and controls.
  • Management of location budget in coordination with Plant and Regional Controller.
  • Establish and maintain a positive community relationship.
  • Execution of Hydro's People Care, Courage and Collaboration Strategy.
  • Confer with department heads to ensure coordination of operations via a robust SI&OP process.
  • Drive initiatives in the management team and organizationally that contribute to longterm operational excellence.
  • 5% travel required.
