- Oversee the eyecare professional and patient initiatives, establish metrics and tracking to determine success and ROI to inform strategic choices that accelerate product adoption.
- Develop and implement an integrated launch strategy, defining metrics, timelines, and targets, while ensuring cross-functional alignment for market introduction.
- Partner with Medical Affairs and Market Access to streamline the product's path to market.
- Orchestrate marketing strategies for a fully integrated campaign across launch phases.
- Supervise the budget in collaboration with Finance, ensuring strategic investment allocation.
- Oversee agency relationships, workflow, and expenses to stay within budget.
- Cultivate relationships with media, associations, KOLs, and stakeholders.
- Conduct market research to identify opportunities for growth and product adoption.
- Analyze the competitive landscape and marketing trends to shape strategy.
- Collaborate with Medical, Legal, and Regulatory teams to ensure compliance and adherence to relevant regulations.
- Hire, onboard, and mentor marketing talent to build a high-performing team.
- Bachelor's degree required, MBA or other advanced degree in science, life sciences, or related areas is desired.
- Minimum 10 years of relevant work experience in senior level marketing role with a track record of proven success in strategy development and execution within biotech/pharmaceuticals. and/or startups
- Proven launch experience leading high functioning teams
- Retina experience desired
- Must be comfortable working in a startup, fast-paced environment
- Strong leadership skills required, along with experience working with cross-functional and senior leaders
- Must possess a strategic mindset and be able to develop both short-term and long-term marketing initiatives for the continued success of the organization
- Acute attention to detail paired with a broader strategic vision
- Ability to analyze complex situations, make difficult decisions, and deal efficiently with change
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with ability to deliver effective presentations to customers, sales teams, and senior leadership

Since our inception more than 20 years ago, we have been developing a proprietary biological drug device combination technology for treatment of a variety of retinal disorders. Our most advanced program is developing a treatment for the orphan disease Macular Telangiectasia Type 2 (MacTel). Our Encapsulated Cell Technology (ECT) platform is designed to deliver a genetically modified neuroprotective factor to slow the progression of this chronic retinal disease.
We are seeking a Senior Director of Marketing who will lead the U.S. marketing team responsible for the launch of NT-501 across eyecare professional and consumers. This leader will play a vital role in the development, refinement, and execution of the launch strategy aligned to strategic imperatives. Driving eyecare professional and patient initiatives and establishing metrics and tracking to determine success and ROI will be critical to inform ongoing strategic choices.
This position will partner with cross functional teams to ensure flawless, aligned launch execution that accelerates growth, ensures patient adoption, and drives shareholder value.
This is an onsite role in Needham, MA. This is not a hybrid or remote opportunity.
