Under general direction of the Accounting Administrator III, the incumbent is required to have in-depth knowledge of the financial reporting requirements of multiple funding sources and types; the Financial Information System for California (FI$CAL); the preparation of the Annual Year End Budgetary Legal Financial Reports, the Generally Accepted Accounting Principle (GAAP) and Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB) requirements; ability to independently analyze existing policies, procedures, and automated accounting and fiscal systems to implement and meet current business needs; provide trainings and assistance to departmental staff on FI$CAL system related transactions.

Desirable Qualifications
Knowledge and Experience with the State Accounting process, including FI$Cal system and configurations.

- Strong Personal Computer (PC) knowledge, including experience with Word, Excel, pivot tables, queries, large data, sets, and accounting databases.
- Ability to effectively deal with Internal customers, external clients and governmental agencies.
- Experience working with Control Agencies such as DOF, STO, SCO, DGS
