Job centers ensure basic security for job seekers. Together with local authorities, the Federal Employment Agency operates over 300 job centers nationwide.

The main tasks of the job centers are to provide benefits and to facilitate employment and training for clients who are facing complex problems.

The goal is to promote social participation and facilitate a return to the workforce.

  • Your tasks and responsibilities
Processing of appeals according to the Social Security Code (SGG)

Main task according to individual assignment:
representation in front of social courts
Preparation of proceedings according to the Social Code IX for the appeals committee
Processing, representation in court and out-of-court in initial proceedings
Collaboration with specialist departments
Collaboration with management on matters of special importance
Identification of professional errors in case processing to avoid further appeals

  • Your qualifications
A degree in law (Dipl.) with 1st or 2nd state examination or alternatively, extensive professional experience in legal remedy offices of an administration
Experience in social law (especially SGB II, I and X as well as SGG in case of representation)


Ideally, you also bring:
Knowledge of the processes and structures of a job center
Good knowledge of the Social Security Code (SGG)
A positive attitude towards the social security system in the Federal Republic of Germany
Thorough and timely work results even under time pressure
High customer orientation and willingness to provide service
Targeted collaboration with your colleagues
