    Description

    Functioning very independently and under the very general direction of principal investigator, the Research Specialist performs high level, complex research experiments.

    On a regular basis contributes to scientific literature, reports, journals and presentations and investigates, creates, and develops new methods and technologies for research advancement.


    • Researches, develops, designs, executes and interprets research experiments.
    • Contributes to scientific literature, reports, journals and presentations.
    • Investigates, creates, and develops new methods and technologies for research advancement
    MS degree required (or equivalent education in scientific field of research). Ph.
    D. preferred.

    Five to seven years of direct research experience.


    SKILLS/ABILITIES/COMPETENCIES REQUIRED:

    • Strong research design and analytical skills.
    • Strong database statistical skills.
    • In-depth knowledge of field of research.
    • Excellent time management/organizational skills.
    • Strong written and verbal presentation skills.

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
    Possible oversight of Research Assistant work.
